2025 September Issue
We are pleased to publish the September 2025 issue of the International Journal of Contemporary Educational Research.
International Journal of Contemporary Educational Research (IJCER) upholds the principles of accurate recognition of intellectual contributions and transparent responsibility for all published works. The journal adopts the authorship criteria defined by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and applies them consistently across all submissions.
Authorship Criteria
To be recognized as an author, an individual must meet all of the following four conditions:
1. Have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data;
2. Have drafted or critically revised the manuscript for important intellectual content;
3. Have approved the final version of the manuscript to be published;
4. Have agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the study.
Activities such as funding acquisition, general supervision, administrative coordination, or language editing do not in themselves constitute authorship and should instead be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section.
Contributor Roles
IJCER recognizes multiple forms of contribution to scholarly work. Contributors are defined under the following categories:
• Author: An individual who fulfills all Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)authorship criteria and takes public responsibility for the published content.
• Byline Author: An author whose name appears in the author list of the article.
• Non-Byline Author: A contributor who meets authorship criteria but whose name appears only in the acknowledgments or supplementary materials.
• Group Author: A collective author representing an institution, consortium, or research group.
• Collaborator: A contributor who participated in the research but does not meet all authorship requirements.
• Other Contributors: Individuals who provided technical, statistical, linguistic, or design-related support without bearing authorship responsibility.
Required Declarations and Documentation
Each manuscript submitted to IJCER must be accompanied by the following signed documents:
• Authorship and Contribution Declaration
• Copyright Notice Text
• ICMJE Conflict of Interest Declaration
• Funding and Acknowledgment Permission Declaration
All authors must agree on the order of authorship prior to submission. Any proposed changes to authorship after submission will only be considered if written consent from all authors is provided.
Corresponding Author Responsibilities
Each manuscript must designate one Corresponding Author who assumes primary responsibility for the following:
• Managing all correspondence with the editorial office during submission, peer review, and publication;
• Ensuring that all required declarations and documents are correctly submitted;
• Accurately identifying and acknowledging the contributions of non-author individuals, and obtaining their consent for name disclosure when applicable.
The editorial office reserves the right to contact co-authors directly for verification if necessary.
Authorship Disputes
Disagreements related to authorship should be resolved amicably among the authors whenever possible. If no resolution can be reached, the issue should be reported to the IJCER Editorial Office in writing. All cases will be evaluated according to the ethical standards and procedures outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Additional Information
Further details regarding authorship, ethical responsibilities, and conflict of interest can be found in the Publication Ethics and Author Guidelines sections on the IJCER website.
