Post-Publication Policy

The International Journal of Contemporary Educational Research (IJCER) recognizes that scholarly dialogue does not end with the publication of an article. Post-publication discussions, comments, and evaluations play a vital role in strengthening the quality, accuracy, and transparency of the scientific record. Such contributions ensure that the published literature remains up-to-date, reliable, and intellectually sound.
Letters to the Editor and Comments
IJCER encourages authors, readers, and researchers to submit letters to the editor or comments regarding published articles. All correspondence should:
• Clearly reference the article’s title, author(s), and DOI number,
• Maintain a constructive, evidence-based, and scholarly tone,
• Avoid personal criticism, unsubstantiated claims, or inflammatory language.
Accepted letters will be forwarded to the relevant author(s) for a response. Both the letter and the author’s reply undergo editorial review and, if deemed appropriate, are published alongside the original article with a permanent link.
Corrections and Editorial Notes
When a published article contains a minor error that does not compromise its scientific integrity, a correction (corrigendum or erratum) will be issued. If clarification is necessary to prevent misunderstanding, an editorial note or explanation may be published. All such updates are directly linked to the original article to maintain transparency and traceability.
Expression of Concern
If there are serious concerns about data reliability, ethical approval, or research integrity, IJCER will initiate an inquiry following COPE guidelines. While the investigation is ongoing, an Expression of Concern may be published to inform readers. During this process, the author(s) may be asked to provide documentation or clarification, and communication with the author’s affiliated institution may be initiated when necessary.
Retraction Policy
If a published article is found to contain a significant ethical violation, scientific misconduct, or major error, the issue is reviewed by the Editorial Board. The author(s) are invited to submit a written explanation. Based on the evaluation, the article may be retracted, and a formal retraction notice will be published, stating the reasons in full transparency. Retracted articles remain accessible in the digital archive to preserve the scientific record but are clearly labeled as “Retracted” with an accompanying explanation.
Editorial Transparency and Ethical Responsibility
All post-publication processes are carried out with a commitment to impartiality, confidentiality, and editorial ethics. IJCER ensures that every editorial decision is documented, justified, and communicated transparently to the academic community. The journal views post-publication evaluation as an integral part of its ethical and professional publishing responsibility.
Contact
All post-publication communications, including letters, corrections, expressions of concern, and retraction-related inquiries, should be directed to the official editorial contact address( editor@ijcer.net ) provided on the IJCER website.
