2025 September Issue
We are pleased to publish the September 2025 issue of the International Journal of Contemporary Educational Research.
IJCER strictly follows the COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, and WAME Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (2022). This statement summarizes the journal’s major ethical policies. For detailed information, please visit the specific policy pages indicated below.
1. Authorship and Contribution Criteria
All authors listed on a manuscript must have made a substantial scholarly contribution to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research. Ghost, guest, or honorary authorship is strictly prohibited. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission. For detailed information, please visit the Authorship and Contribution Policy.
2. Complaints and Appeals Procedures
IJCER provides a transparent mechanism for handling all complaints and appeals related to editorial decisions, peer review processes, or ethical concerns. Complaints must be submitted in writing to the editorial office and are reviewed by the Ethics Committee within 30 business days. If unresolved, the issue may be escalated to the Publisher’s Ethics Council for final evaluation. For detailed information, please visit the Complaints and Appeals Policy.
3. Handling of Research Misconduct (Ethical Violations)
The journal applies a strict policy against plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or other forms of research misconduct. All manuscripts are screened with plagiarism detection software before peer review. Confirmed cases of misconduct lead to rejection, retraction, or institutional notification in accordance with COPE flowcharts. For detailed information, please visit the Policy on the Evaluation of Allegations of Ethical Violations.
4. Conflict of Interest Policy
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. A “Conflict of Interest Statement” must be included in all submissions. Editors and reviewers are also required to withdraw from evaluation when a potential conflict exists. For detailed information, please visit the Conflict of Interest Policy.
5. Data Sharing and Reproducibility
IJCER promotes transparency and replicability in research. Authors are encouraged to deposit data in recognized repositories such as OSF, Zenodo, or institutional archives, and to provide a Data Availability Statement describing access conditions. Exceptions (e.g., confidentiality, ethical restrictions) must be clearly explained. For detailed information, please visit the Data Availability and Reproducibility Policy.
6. Ethical Oversight Policy
Research involving human or animal participants must comply with internationally accepted ethical standards, including the Declaration of Helsinki. Authors must provide the name of the ethics committee, approval number, and confirmation that informed consent was obtained. For detailed information, please visit the Policy on Ethical Violations.
7. Intellectual Property and Copyright
IJCER publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting IJCER a non-exclusive license to publish and disseminate it. All submissions must respect third-party copyright, image permissions, and data ownership rights. For detailed information, please visit the Copyright and Licensing.
8. Post-Publication Discussions and Reader Comments
IJCER encourages scholarly dialogue even after publication. Readers may submit comments, corrections, or discussions related to published articles. The editorial office reviews all submissions and, if necessary, publishes a “Response” or “Letter to the Editor” to maintain transparency and academic exchange. For detailed information, please visit the Post-Publication Policy.
9. Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Updates
To preserve the integrity of the academic record, IJCER follows a formal process for issuing corrections, etractions, and expressions of concern in line with COPE Retraction Guidelines.
• Corrections (Errata/Corrigenda): For minor errors that do not alter the study’s findings.
• Retractions: For articles with serious errors or confirmed research misconduct.
• Expressions of Concern: Issued while investigations are ongoing.
All notices remain permanently linked to the original publication to ensure transparency. For detailed information, please visit the Post-Publication Policy.
